Quordle is not “four Wordles with shared guesses” in your notes
You submit one guess to all four boards each turn, but the color feedback is per board. A letter can be green on board 1, yellow on board 2, and gray on board 3. If you merge those facts into one mental soup, you will invent illegal candidates.
Practical habit: keep four tiny scratch lines.

Then enter each board’s constraints into the solver on its own.

Board A might be nearly solved (?A?Y? with few left).
Board C might still be a mess of yellows with no greens.
Spend the next guess as a probe that helps the weak boards even if it wastes a turn on the almost-finished one. Quordle rewards fixing the board that’s behind, because one stalled grid burns the whole run.
What “best remaining words” should mean
A solver that only ranks frequency on a single list can push you toward repeating the same safe answer pattern on every board. Better questions:
- Which letters are still unknown across the struggling boards?
- Can one guess test two uncertain consonants at once?
- Am I about to guess a word that is already impossible on the board I’m trying to save?
Example: boards B and D both still allow answers with M and P unsettled, while board A is waiting on a simple finish. Guess something like CLAMP or PLUMB (illustrative) to harvest info, then finish A.
Answer-list caution (same as Wordle)
Quordle’s answer pool is its own curated set, not TWL06. Broad Scrabble five-letter lists will include words Quordle won’t pick. Prefer ordinary words when the candidate list is long.

Daily Quordle modes vary by platform. The solver doesn’t enforce mode rules. If you play strict hard mode, only enter guesses that obey each board’s own hard-mode constraints (that’s brutal; most people don’t).
