What this helper is (and isn’t)

Wordfeud is its own game with its own dictionaries per language. It is not guaranteed to match TWL06 or Collins word for word. German, Dutch, French, and English packs differ. Even English Wordfeud is not something you should treat as “tournament Scrabble online.”

If the live tool is mainly a rack solver (anagrams from your tiles, maybe with simple hooks), use it that way. Don’t assume full board heat maps, premium-square pathfinding, or opponent leave modeling unless the UI clearly shows board input.

Rack example

Rack: E E I N R S Z

You’re looking for ways to dump the Z without stranding vowels.

Plausible directions (list-dependent):

  • Short Z plays: ZEE, ZEIN, REZ, SEZ (confirm in your pack)
  • Longer: RESIZE, SIZER, NEREIS without the Z for a different plan

If the board has a triple-letter staring at a lane where Z can land on it through a two-letter hook, that beats a pretty six-letter word in the wrong place. The helper finds strings. You still read the board.

Leaves matter more than raw max score

Take 28 points and keep EEIRS vs take 22 and keep ERS. Midgame, the better leave often wins more games than the greedy spike, especially before the tile bag thins.

After you generate options:

  1. Note the score you expect on the actual board.
  2. Note the leave.
  3. Prefer plays that don’t hand a triple-word lane to the opponent for free.

Language pack checklist

  • Open Wordfeud’s dictionary language setting.
  • Match your study list to that language as closely as you can.
  • When a helper word fails in-app, blacklist it mentally for that pack.
  • Don’t argue from TWL06 screenshots in a Dutch-pack game.

FAQ

Different lexicon. Also watch American vs British spelling if your pack is picky. Trust the app for that match.

Only if you enter board context and the tool is built for it. Many free helpers are rack-first. Describe your premium squares yourself when choosing among candidates.

Enter blanks the way the field allows (?). Try assigning blank to S or a high tile only after you see which lanes are open. Blank-as-S for a cheap plural is common; blank-as-Z for a lane shot can be bigger.

House rules and personal standards differ. Some players treat solvers like opening books; some call it cheating. Decide with your opponent or follow the community norms you play in.
